在一个架空的城市：洛城，主角陈旭是一位畅销犯罪小说作家。他已经连续数月饱受头痛折磨而无法写作，于是在妻子林若晰和好友兼经纪人阿德的建议下，决定和妻子一同前往一个新城市——边缘城，度假并寻找新的灵感。但在边缘城的第一个夜晚妻子林若晰被意外绑架。绑匪要求陈旭交出小说原稿以换取他妻子的安全。与此同时，陈旭又受到更多自称来自于他小说中人物的追杀。最致命的是，陈旭根本不记得自己有写过这本小说。陈旭必须救出妻子，并发掘真相......。The TARDIS lands in London on Christmas Eve, 1851 and almost immediately the Doctor hears his name being called.
