记者西蒙妮和纪录片导演托马斯追踪一宗谋杀案，故事将着重于两人的心理变化。阿曼达·诺克斯谋杀案发生于2007年末，曾是一桩震惊意大利的杀人案件。阿曼达·诺克斯来自美国华盛顿州的西雅图市，在意大利佩鲁贾一所大学留学，她被指控在意大利留学期间残忍杀害室友，被称为“天使脸孔杀手”。该案件在2009年宣布审判结果，阿曼达被判处26年监禁。2011年因罪证不吻合，阿曼达获得释放，后来这一裁决又被意大利最高法院推翻重审。。When a casino owning dog named Charlie is murdered by his rival Carface, he finds himself in Heaven basically by default since all dogs go to heaven. However, since he wants to get back at his killer, he cons his way back to the living with the warning that doing that damns him to Hell. Once back, he teams with his old partner, Itchy to prep his retaliation. He also stumbles on to an orphan girl who can talk to the animals, thus allowing him to get the inside info on the races to ensure his wins。
