An inept gang of bank robbers, led by George The Brain, are caught and sentenced to 15 years hard labour each. When they are released from prison they start out to collect the money they had stolen and which George had hidden in a hollow tree during the chase in which they were caught. The only trouble is that the tree was in the middle of a lonely lane when they were imprisone...。根据民间故事改编，讲述了一个发生在30年代民国时期山村的一位普通的母亲历尽千辛终于把儿子严有发拉扯大并为其娶妻生子，却没有想到儿媳罗桂花不孝顺，并逼迫儿子严有发用荆芭把自己拉上山抛弃自己。。
