卖唱孤女月容受人欺侮﹐幸得马车夫二和相救﹐把她收留家中。邻居田二姑及皮鞋匠王傻子﹐见月容聪慧能唱﹐于是便介绍乐到杨五爷去学戏﹐后来登台卖唱大受欢迎﹐却引来宋信生垂涎她的美色﹐设法引诱她落入自己设置的圈套。二姑的母亲意欲撮合女儿与二和的婚事﹐可惜二和心属月容而婉拒﹐然而不久二姑在刘经理家中任家佣﹐被诱失身怀孕。月容被信生带到天津﹐才发现被骗﹐好不容易返来﹐欲寻二和﹐可惜二和因在刘经理公司工作﹐生活得以改善﹐便与母亲搬到他处居住﹐月容只得再度卖唱为生。而二姑之母迫刘经理作媒﹐好使还未见肚的女儿能跟二和成婚﹐隐暪她与刘经理之间的丑事。成婚之夜﹐二和隐约听到外头月容正唱着“夜深沉” ﹐可是走到屋外﹐又不见其影踪。后来二和发现被二姑骗婚﹐对她非常冷澹﹐刚巧在清风社找到月容﹐二姑知道后立时请刘经理制约他﹐而刘经理也欲佔有月容而收她为乾女儿。未几二姑知道刘经理转向...。SYNOPSIS Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. (Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。
