外科医生张嘉儿（刘心悠饰）和Jessica、Amy是从小在孤儿院长大的好姐妹，走上社会后她们依然住在一起，亲密无间。某天，嘉儿接到律师的信，信中说她在马来西亚的嫲嫲（鲍起静饰）不久前离世，身后留给嘉儿一栋大宅作为遗产。小时候嘉儿在马来西亚住过，可是当她来到香港后却几乎忘记以前的事了。几经犹豫，嘉儿决定带着两个好友一同前往大马。在律师的安排下，三人来到了嫲嫲这栋古色古香的房子。 一切手续看起来十分顺利，可是诡异恐怖的事件接二连三地发生了。嫲嫲不在的房子里，似乎有什么东西四处游走，而嘉儿失落已久的记忆也渐渐恢复……。爱德华是一位即将崭露头角的小说家，正在一边工作一边照顾年迈的母亲。终于在文学上有所突破的他，却被出版社要求去美国参加书展。此时，爱德华的三位密友也突发奇想，决定去度过一个假期，他们把年老的母亲们托付给爱德华照看。混乱随之而来，爱德华尽力维持着某种秩序...。A company of friends rises in the funicular to meet unforgettably New Year's Eve on the top of the mountain.
