This film takes place in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Matic lives in a large neighbourhood of concrete blocks of flats with his mother. As his father is temporarily working in Libya, they live alone. Matic's otherwise monotonous life changes dramatically when he is chosen to feature in a film. At the shooting he meets Milena, a girl his own age whom he begins to like. Wh...。尼克（伊万·麦克格雷格 Ewan McGregor 饰）虽然身为银行的小小职员，但他从未放弃过升职发财的梦想。在一次外派工作中，尼克结识了漂亮迷人的莉莎（安娜·弗莱尔 Anna Friel 饰），坠入情网的两人很快就结为夫妻，开始了幸福的生活。一次偶然中，尼克发现了银行系统的漏洞，而这个漏洞使得他能够从中牟利，在利用这个漏洞度过一次经济危机后，莉莎发现了他的不轨行为。 虽然向妻子保证过不再利用这个漏洞，但在巨大的利益面前，尼克无法控制自己。尼克的工作做得越来越好，职位越来越高，但与此同时，他肩上的压力也越来越大。常在河边走哪有不湿鞋，当错误无法盖过错误，谎言无法掩饰谎言之时，便是尼克付出代价的时刻。。
