为了实现母亲的遗愿，并避免从遗嘱中除名，这个顽固的单身汉雇了一名女演员假扮自己的未婚妻。电台节目监制成家立(曾江)，是典型住家男人，对比他年轻十多岁的妻子李冬冬(黎美娴) 呵护备至。节目主持人关丽华(郑裕玲)为立之同事，外表是女强人，内里则小鸟依人，对丈夫曾健强(戴志伟)千依百顺。一次电台家庭聚会，强邂逅冬，两人相逢恨晚，展开一段婚外情，最后二人更分别要求离婚。华和立晴天霹雳，设法补救，终告失败。自此两人经常互相指摘，成为斗气冤家。偏偏华和立被安排主持同一节目，朝夕相对，起初互相诋毁，继而互相欣赏。两人最终冲破道德障碍，踏上爱情路......。In the nuclear ravaged wasteland of Earth 2087 water is as precious as life itself.
